Vulkan je ime hipotetičke planete, asteroida, za koju se u 19. veku verovalo da se nalazi u orbiti između Merkura i Sunca. Razlog za ovu hipotezu su odstupanja Merkurove orbite koje nisu objašnjene klasičnom mehanikom tela (jedina dostupna teorija kretanja u to vreme) jer Merkurov perihelus rotirao je 43″ godišnje.
Tek nakon objavljivanja Ajnštajnove teorije relativiteta 1915. godine, pronadjen je odgovor.
Odstupanja su prouzrokovana relativističkim efektom : zbog velike ekscentričnosti Merkurove orbite, brzina planete se menja, a samim tim i njegova masa. Ova promena je mala, ali više primetna nego na drugim planetama usled blizine Merkura i Sunca.
Asteroid Vulkan je prvi put viđen 1860 u toku totalne Sunčeve eklipse (neobično, zar ne?) Video ga je francuz Le Verrier. Njegovo mesečno kretanje je u proseku 1 mesec = 1° okvirno.

Vulkan je bio Bog vatre i nakovnja kod Grka i Rimljana, sin Zevsa, (Jupitera) i Here (Junone)
Majka (Hera) ga je, jer se rodio ružan i nakazan, bacila sa vrha Olimpa. Kako je pao na ostrvo Lemnos, ostao je hrom. Stvorio je pod Etnom kovačnicu i u njoj radio s Kiklopima, ili na samom Olimpu, gde je iskovao oružje za Ahila. Rimljani nisu zaboravili njegovu prvobitnu funkciju, ni kada su ga skroz izjednačili sa grčkim Hefestom.
Njegovim ocem su smatrali Boga neba Celusa ~ grčki Uran, a prema takvim tumačenjima, bio je kao i Hefest, kovač i čovek koji je pravio oružje.
U tom njegovom novom poslu, rimljani su ga nazivali Maliciber ili Ukrotitelj ognja, Onaj koji topi, a i poštovali su ga kao i zaštitnika od svih vrsta požara. Žrtvenici i hramovi u njegovu čast su smeštani u blizini vulkana Etna na ostrvu Siciliji ili na Liparskim ostrvima.
Vulkan smatraju da je oličenje impulsa, iskonskog u čoveku, nosioc je čudnih ideala koji se često ne razumeju u vremenu u kojem ta osoba živi (naravno, ovde je akcenat na izuzetno jakom i istaknutom Vulkanu u natalnom čartu)
On je kovač, pa tako bi njegova postavka u natalnom čartu mogla da ukaže na mesto gde osoba je „kovač svoje sudbine“ tj gde mora da uloži dodatan napor da bi uspela… „kaljenje čelika“ na neki način… ili pak mesto gde mora da „izgori“ da bi ispunila svoju sudbinu (ispravila neke svoje karmičke greške)
Tako će svaki znak predstavljati određen deo života gde osoba treba da „pregori“ i da prihvati činjenicu da ako se ne promeni i ne krene da radi na sebi (da ispravlja svoje karmičke greške) taj deo života će večito biti „u plamenu“ i nikad se neće uklopiti u neke klasične (opšte prihvaćene) stavove & ideje & situacije i večito će biti odbačen kako od porodice tako i društva i neće biti u mogućnosti da prevaziđe to izbegavanje drugih da ga prihvate.

Vulkanus je razaranje, ali ono Plutonovsko razaranje, uništenje koje za cilj ima da posle neke velike tragedije i raspada sistema, u stvari donese pročišćenje svega na molekularnom (DNK) nivou (pa tako i na nivou Duše & Karme) Vulkanus h46 je sve ono loše, mačno, teško, opasno, što „čuči“ u čoveku (masi ljudi) Vulkan h55 se koristi u Ezoterijskoj Astrologiji, dok je Vulkanus h46 više popularan u Uranian Astrologiji.
Vulcanus je tačka u čartu koja opisuje sposobnost guranja napred bez obzira na prepreke koje vas okružuju. Vulcanus h je razlog zašto živite, i razlog zašto nastavljate da živite. To je pokretačka snaga koju imate. Vulkan je veoma sličan, ali se bavi više transmutacijom (pri)sile i loših navika da bi se postigli ovi isti ciljevi koje ima i Vulcanus.

PRIMER : natalni Vulkan (h46) u 5 polju, ili u konjukciji sa vladarem 5 polja, ili je spaljen, ili planeta koja vlada znakom u kojem se nalazi natalni Vulkan h46 ima aflikacije od strane malefika (ili je sama malefik, postavljena u malefičnom polju itd…) negativno će aktivirati sve što je u simbolici 5 polja :
~ pa tako u ovom primeru imamo h55 u Biku spaljen od Sunca (kao i uvek) u konjukciji sa arapskom tačkom Karme, a Venera kao vladar, slaba u Blizancima u 12 polju i ima aflikaciju od Meseca (vl. 1 polja) koji je u kazimi konjukciji sa Marsom (vl. 5 – 10 polja) u Ribama koji su pak u konjunkciji sa h46 (a čak je i sama arapska tačka Greške iz prošlog života pod vladavinom te Venere)
FEEDBACK : osoba ima problema sa potomstvom ~ što znači da je jedna od njenih prošlo-životnih grešaka ogromna baš u odnosu na decu koju je imala tada, nekada davno, i da se sada to u ovom životu manifestuje kao nemogućnost da ima potomstvo, ili pak postoje veliki problemi sa decom njihovim zdravljem ili samim životom, ili pak ne postoji čak ni želja za potomstvom od ogromnog straha da se neće ispuniti na pravi način uloga roditelja (Vulkan je bio odbačen od svoje majke jer je bio ružan)

Vulcan in Aries: Vulcan comes into play to detach you from serving and feeding your ego.
